WORDS OF A PET SITTER: "I had a pet-sitting service when I was in middle and high school. I had been watching a particular neighbor's dogs for years. One summer they asked me to watch their dogs while they went on a 10-day vacation. The dogs lived in the garage, which was connected to an dog-run on the side of the house. It was my job to go over and check on them twice per day. Things were going as planned...
However, I thought they were only gone on a 7-day vacation. On the 10th day I realized they hadn't contacted me, which was weird. So I went to check it out and when I opened the front door, I was greeted by the dogs. Somehow they had gotten inside and locked themselves in the house, for three days. It was a mess and they were starving. The owners, who are very nice people, came home a few hours later and were much less upset than they should have been. They paid someone to shampoo their carpets, because (according to them) they needed to be done anyway.
But this didn't keep me from feeling horrible. And 6 or 7 years later, I still remember it. If there was a way to set up reminders to check the dogs, this never would have happened."

PET OWNER: (with personal pet pictures) "It wa s 3 am, a blizzard was blowing outside, and I was 150 miles away from my home and my pets when I awoke to the startling realization that I had no idea if my pet sitter had actually made it to my house that night to care for all of my animals. No confirmation call or text had come in from my sitter. Had my dogs been fed? Were they miserable, still stuck in their crates 12 hours later? I had no idea. Not wanting to call the sitter at that hour, I laid there and worried for the next 5 hours until I could make the call to learn that she had in fact arrived as planned All was well, but the "what ifs" started to go through my head and I knew then that I needed to be smarter and more assertive about caring for my pets at home.
When I heard about PETZcheckIN, I realized this was the answer tome never having to worry about my home pet care again. Not only does PETZcheckIN allow me to schedule my time away from home, remind my sitter of planned visits, provide easy, non-intrusive notifications of check in and check out, but it also enables me to have a backup plan in case my sitter doesn't arrive as planned. I had never considered how important it is to actually have a backup plan before. Last but not least, I'll never have to hand write out all the care and feeding instructions again - PETZcheckIN provides an easy way to capture and print out all the information about all my pets that my care givers will need." - Brian B (plus his bird and two of his three dogs, pictured)

PET LOVER: "I think a person could get hooked on the site and having a dependable program for their pet care." -Beta tester, anonymous feedback ON-CALL EMPLOYEE: "I have a unique use for PETZcheckIN. My job requires that I am on call and may have to leave home at a moment's notice. I set myself up as the primary pet sitter and my pet sitter as my backup. When I am on the job, I don't answer the check in call, and PETZcheckIN automatically calls my pet sitter. That's one less thing for me to worry about in my rush to get to work." -MF
